We are a super-friendly group of local volunteers who support children and young people and their families get healthy in a fun, pressure-free way. Come and join us on Sunday 7 May to see the range of volunteer roles and opportunities available. Volunteers can be as young as 4 (with their adult) and we work hard to make everyone feel welcome. No previous experience needed and you will be supported throughout.

Glebe Pond, Lenham, Maidstone

As part of The Big Help Out, we encourage you to come and join us at Glebe Pond, along the Old Ashford Road, between 11.00 and 13.00 on Monday 8th May. We’ll be carrying out a range of activities including a general tidy up, plant management, pruning and building a bug hotel! Whether you can spare half an hour or two hours, we’d be grateful for any assistance you can give us. Please bring your own gloves and secateurs if you have them. We’ll be serving light refreshments, so do come along and say hello, we’d love to see you there.

We will be holding an open day event on Monday 8th May where we will be showcasing the volunteering opportunities available with us. Alongside this we want to complete our recent extension by asking for help with small tasks.

Monastery of Our Lady of Hyning, Warton, Carnforth LA5 9SE

We invite you to help the Sisters maintain their heritage environment, particularly the delightful but energy demanding eleven acre landscaped garden. Tasks will include clearing and tidying wild areas, some outdoor painting, planting, path and wall maintenance. Other lighter activities also available. Please wear clothes suitable for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots. Gardening gloves would also be greatly appreciated. Please bring a packed lunch. Drinks and refreshments will be available throughout the day and we will conclude with a Coronation tea at 3.45 pm, featuring Sr Michaela's delicious cakes!! You will be working with the Sisters of the Community and their friends - a chance to discover the Monastery of Our Lady of Hyning.
