If you’re hosting your own public event, street party or other celebration, submit your event plans to feature on our interactive map.

You can join up with your local community in lots of ways to plan a celebration together, such as setting up a group chat or using the Nextdoor app to connect with your neighbours. Make sure you read and follow the street party guidance on GOV.UK too.

Emersons Green Library – Coronation community celebration

Emersons Green Library Saturday 6 May, 9.30am – 4pm: Coronation community celebration Join us for an Emersons Green community celebration of the Coronation with events and stalls in the park and village hall. The library will remain open until 4pm with children’s coronation crafts and refreshments plus all our usual library services.

Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 and Saturday 6 May: Let’s get decorating! Help us turn the library into a royal flower garden. Make flowers, birds and bees to decorate the library or take home. Drop in anytime during our staffed opening hours to take part.

Hanham Library Coronation celebrations

Hanham Library Tuesday 2 May, 10am – 5.30pm: Coronation celebrations Join us for fun, refreshments and activities throughout the day. From 11am – 12noon, we will be joined by the Oldland Ukelele Club for a sing-a-long to celebrate the coronation.

Royal creations with Lego and Duplo

Hanham Library Saturday 6 May, 10 – 11am: Royal creations with Lego and Duplo Let your imagination run wild with our special royal themed Lego and Duplo club event.

Big Help Out - Scarborough

The Coronation Walk, Pick, Picnic and Feeding the Royal Swans

A walk from Boldmere Gate through to Banners Gate - with a litter pick along the route and opportunities to feed the swans at lakes on the route (food provided for the swans and ducks) with a picnic at Banners Gate before walking back using a different path to Boldmere Gate. Introduction to practical work at Nunhead Cemetery

Nunhead Cemetery, Linden Grove, London

FONC regularly carries out a variety of practical work to manage the heritage and environment of Nunhead Cemetery. This project will be a shorter session to introduce new volunteers to principles of woodland management and will concentrate on removing damaging vegetation from the front line of headstones along a number of paths, whilst retaining specimen trees and shrubs that add value to the diversity of the site. Less physically active volunteers can participate in the ongoing monument inscription recording project which aims to capture the inscriptions of headstones emerging from the newly cleared undergrowth.

The day is about inspiring people to come together, support charities and try volunteering for the first time. Bringing communities together, is at the heart of our charity. Retford Volunteer Fair

If you wish to volunteer but are unsure of HOW or WHO to help.....come along to Kings Park, Retford on 8th May and meet local charities and volunteer led organisations that need your help! Retford Lions are hosting an event in KINGS PARK, Retford, on bank holiday Monday, in support of THE BIG HELP OUT. Local charities and volunteer led organisations will be in attendance and will each be hosting a stand outlining there volunteer opportunities. The event is free to attend and there may be groups providing demonstrations and displays throughout the day. There will also be the annual Retford Lions Charity Duck Race: yellow race at 2,45pm and the red (corporate) race at 3pm.

Sign up to collect at QPR Football club. Our bucket collectors are amazing! Can you give us some time to help raise money for people in crisis and be the power of kindness in your community?
