Hosting your own Coronation event?

If you’re hosting your own public event, street party or other celebration, submit your event plans to feature on our interactive map.

You can join up with your local community in lots of ways to plan a celebration together, such as setting up a group chat or using the Nextdoor app to connect with your neighbours. Make sure you read and follow the street party guidance on GOV.UK too.

OX10 Community Centre Pop-up 'The Big Lunch'

Bull Croft Park, Wallingford

An OX10 Community Centre Pop-up outreach event in collaboration with the Eden Project Communities 'The Big Lunch'. Meet other volunteers in the community, find out about volunteering and other volunteer events in Wallingford and enjoy celebrating and feasting with a 'bring and share' lunch with each other. If you are keen to help on the day, there will be lots of jobs from helping set up tables and chairs, keeping the area clean and tidy, welcoming and greeting people and helping them find a seat at a table. We will also need volunteers to help oversee the games (e.g. splat the rat etc) and help to clean and pack tables and chairs away at the end of the event.

On Monday 8th May between 11am-3pm we are looking for volunteers to help tidy up the churchyard garden. This will include planting new shrubs to make the churchyard more sustainable and low maintenance, planting up tubs, sowing vegetables for our community cafe and renovating some of the older shrubs.
