Milngavie Scouts Spring Clean

We are looking for help with a range of outdoor maintenance tasks including gardening, painting, joinery, construction, and joinery. This essential work helps to to prove a safe and fun environment for our members and expand our offering to the community through hall lets. Community Gardening and Scouting activities

Insch & District War Memorial Hospital, Rannes Street, Insch, AB52 6JJ

1st Insch Scouts, with the support of Friends of Insch Hospital, will be welcoming support from the community undertaking some Gardening projects in the Friends of Insch Hospital community gardens from 10am to 4pm. We will be undertaking tasks such as willow tunnel maintenance, building a bug hotel, planting, painting and weeding. We will also be running some scouting activities such as tents, pioneering, games and backwoods cooking and a fundraising BBQ with cakes for lunch between 12 and 2pm. It will be a family event with something for everyone whatever your skills, and will hopefully encourage volunteering in the community and with Scouts - come along and give it a go!

Beach Clean

Cullen beach, Cullen, Buckie

Help to keep our local beaches clean by joining a beach clean in Cullen- free to attend and all welcome! Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Meet us at Cullen Sea School at 1045 on Monday 8th May 2023. We will provide you with a litter picker, rubbish bag and optional gloves but if you have your own please feel free to use. The Cullen Beach cleans form part of our annual programme of events and we're delighted to launch this season with our first as part of #TheBigHelpOut!

Calderwood community litterpick

Coronation Camp Cuppa

Bellfield Park, Banchory, AB31 5HT

Members of the public are invited to come down to the Bellfield Park in Banchory to meet the current Banchory Scouters and have a Coronation Cuppa & a homebake. The 1st Banchory Scout Group will be setting up camp by pitching a number of patrol tents, building a flagpole and putting out tables & chairs. To demonstrate the Group's Scouting skills, they will be building a monkey bridge. The Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers will serve teas & coffees to the public from 11am to 5pm on Monday 8th May. Banchory Ternan Rotary Club will also be in the park providing BBQ food. Come along and find out a bit more about Scouting in Banchory and ways your can volunteer to support this thriving local group.
