If you’re hosting your own public event, street party or other celebration, submit your event plans to feature on our interactive map.

You can join up with your local community in lots of ways to plan a celebration together, such as setting up a group chat or using the Nextdoor app to connect with your neighbours. Make sure you read and follow the street party guidance on GOV.UK too.

The Big Clean Up

Rassau Resource Community Centre, School Road, Rassau, Ebbw Vale

The Big Clean Up is an opportunity for the local community to support the centre in spring cleaning the centre. Volunteers will help the Centre team clean the rooms and the grounds, so if you like cleaning, gardening , DIY or just like making tea, then this will be for you, and you will making a huge difference to the Centre and it's users.
Lunch will be provided. We will start at 10am and aim to finish at 3pm on Monday 8th May 2023. You can help for an hour, half the day or a full day. We will be happy for any help you can provide.

Litter Pick in Caerwent

We love our village! And we want to use this opportunity of The Big Help Out to continue to look after it. We will be meeting at the war memorial at 10am, to go out around the village picking up rubbish. We are hoping to have some litter pickers to hand out, but you will need to bring your own black bin bags and recycling bags. The Big Help Out Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Day

The Big Help Out coincides with the end of our football season when we ask our existing and new volunteers to help us out for a few hours with a range of jobs to tidy up and improve our sites. We have a range of cleaning, painting, mowing, strimming, tidying up and repair work to keep on top of and this is a great way to do a lot of work in a short time and bring the team together. We will spend the morning of the 8th May on these activities, finishing with a BBQ for everyone who attends 9weather permitting!)

Come along to our Open Day and find out more about volunteering with us in roles such as general admin, transport, education, fundraising/awareness, health & safety admin, retail and publicity.
