Huntly Spring Festival – on Coronation Saturday 6th May 2023
An extended Huntly Farmers’ Market will be held in the Square, from 10am to 3pm hosting producers of food and drink, local produce plus street food for every taste.
The HuntlyCrafters Craft Fair will run from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the Stewart’s Hall presenting the handmade art, crafts and gifts of local makers.
Local shops will be open with coronation themed window displays.
Entertainment will be provided by local groups and begin with the Huntly and District Pipe Band’s 75th Anniversary Parade, leaving the Market Muir at 11:30am marching along Gordon Street and arriving in the Square at 12pm, with a further performance in the Square in the afternoon.
Following arrival of the Pipe Band in the Square, music and dance performances will be provided by The Patricia-Ann School of Dance, The Strathbogie Fiddlers, The Brenda Gordon School of Dance and members of the Aurora Music showcasing their upcoming production of The Addams Family – Musical Comedy.
Many local groups will be involved on the day. The Tourism Hub will be open in the Brander Library. Upstairs library staff will be leading a Coronation themed children’s crown making workshop. Local charities and groups will have a presence at the Farmer’s Market and in the Stewart’s Hall with the HuntlyCrafters.
