Daffodils Community Garden and Allotments is still very much in its development stage but we are making good progress. Those involved, working alongside volunteers are turning a small piece of unkept land into a vibrant, eco friendly garden with allotments to benefit the local Community and bring people together.
We work in partnership with St Martin’s Church on all community events. The Jubilee celebration last year was a great success bringing together around 250 people during an afternoon of fun and friendship.
This year our Fun Day in Celebration of the Kings Coronation is expected to have a similar impact on the local neighbourhood and nearby communities. Starting at 12.30 until 4.00pm there will be Morris Dancers, Face paints, bouncy castle, games, music, BBQ and other refreshments along with tombola, plant, cake, craft and flower stalls, raffle prizes and plenty of opportunity to enjoy chatting to local people and making new friends. The garden will be open for everyone to visit and relax in its peaceful setting. Suggestion as to how we continue to develop the garden or an opportunity to become a volunteer will be available.
