The Healthy Lunchtime Challenge & Kids’ State Dinner: White House
Visit: http://www.recipechallenge.epicurious.com/
A neat little campaign from the White House to address childhood obesity, this partnership with mainstream US recipes site Epicurious encourages people to submit healthy recipes for a kids meal which reflects health guidelines, in order to win a place at a ‘state dinner for kids’:
First Lady Michelle Obama, the U.S. Department of Education, and Epicurious invite you to send in your favorite recipe for a healthy lunch.
If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child aged 8 to 12, we invite you to work together to create a healthy and delicious lunch. You could win a trip to Washington, D.C., and have the chance to attend a Kids’ “State Dinner” hosted by the White House, where some of the winning recipes will be served. (The “State Dinner” will be attended by one child/parent team selected from each of the 50 states, plus D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Territories.)
