Lord Paul Drayson was Minister for Science & Innovation from 2009-2010, and a committed user of social media to connect with stakeholders, and talk about the work he was doing – particularly with the science community.

He used the podcasting service Audioboo from his own iPhone, and experimented with interviewing some of the people he met on visits, including these apprentices at Astrium’s factory working on new satellites. The podcasts would be uploaded from the ministerial car on the way back to the office.
