DCLG developed a public mapping tool using ArcGIS to enable users to add their own or local business to a map showing it is ‘open for business’ following the flood damage caused in the North of England in Winter 2015-16:

This crowd-sourced map allows businesses to show that they are #OpenForBusiness following recent flooding (below map), and allows customers to check what’s open in these areas.
