The Government IT profession is using the self-hosted social networking tool BuddyPress, which runs on WordPress, to encourage low-security collaboration and discussion between members of the IT profession in government. They join the Government Communications Network and Agile in Government network in using BuddyPress in this way to feature profiles, blogs, messages and forum-style chat.
