Morecambe’s Coronation Carnival

Morecambe Promenade

Come and join us for our record-breaking street party! With live music, fireworks, DJ, and food stalls! Just bring a smile and a seat.

Morecambe's Coronation Carnival is set to be the biggest event on the promenade this year - book your table now to be a part of something truly special and celebrate the coronation of King Charles III in style!

Our Coronation Carnival will take place along Morecambe's iconic promenade, starting from the Battery and running right along to the Town Hall.

Tables are £15 for up to 6 people, you just need to bring chairs and a smile. There will food and drink stalls available, but you're welcome to also bring your own picnic and decorations.

Entertainment will be provided from 6pm, with live music, a DJ, and spectacular firework display at 9pm!

A parade of community organisations will be passing all tables while you enjoy your lunch! It really will be a celebration to remember, and one you don't want to miss.

Terms and Conditions

1. Seating location cannot be changed after booking.
2. You need to provide your own chairs, food and drink - stalls will be available.
3. Alcohol is permitted for those attending.
4. Decoration of tables is encouraged in red white and blue to celebrate the Coronation.
5. Each table is responsible for removal of their litter after the event and tables will need to be vacated by 5pm when guests can make their way towards the Stone Jetty for the live music, DJ, and fireworks.
6. Gazebos and generators will not be permitted on the Promenade.
7. Vehicles may not be driven on the Promenade. Please park and unload your vehicle from one of the nearby car parks.
8. The party will take place regardless of the weather so please dress / bring appropriate clothing.
9. *DISCLAIMER STATEMENT* By booking a table, all attendees accept that the organisers, sponsors, partners, stewards will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise in consequence of my participation in the event and that all persons attending on the table booked do so at their own risk.
10. The booking fee is non-refundable.

This occasion celebrates the crowning of our new King and his Queen, and Sunderland BID cordially invites you to participate in the festivities on offer and tuck into some delicious food. Please feel free to bring your own lunches to enjoy on our benches, but please note seating may be limited. You can also take advantage of the fantastic street-food vendors who will be joining us on the day.

We can't wait to see you all in Keel Square on 6 May, where we will have attractions to please the whole family! You may even spot some royal characters...

There will be kid's activities to keep the little ones busy and mini golf, which will be fun for the whole family!

Look forward to workshops from Curious Arts, face painting, glitter tattoos, puppet shows, rides and more.

If that's not enough, there will be a free screening of the official coronation ceremony!

Make sure you join us for a brilliant day, almost as jam-packed as a Victoria sponge!

Age UK's charity shops raise vital funds to help us deliver services, support and campaigning with and for the older people who need us most. Volunteers play a significant role in shop operations and we're currently recruiting new volunteers to help us out.

Sign up for a taster session at the Age UK shop nearest you to learn more about the variety of volunteer roles available there, how the shop operates and to try your hand at some of the tasks you could support with as a volunteer. On the day, you might sort donated items, arrange a display or help welcome and serve customers.
