The local community are invited to come together on the Parish Field to celebrate the King's Coronation. Everyone is invited to bring and decorate their own table in red, white and blue and the Youth Club will be encouraging people to join in a game of Rounders.

Skipton Town Council will celebrate the Kings Coronation on Saturday 6th May.

There will be a large LED screen on the Canal Basin throughout the day screening the Coronation.

There will be craft works shops, food and drink stalls supported by the Skipton Real Food Market, and deck chair seating for residents to gather and celebrate.

Following the Coronation there will be a screening of Paddington the film.

The event is free for all to attend. It will be open to the public between 10am - 4pm

As the main event space in Southend City we believe it is really important that Southend hosts a Coronation Day event to celebrate the Kings ascension to the throne. This is especially important to the residents of Southend after the King and Queen consort visited Southend in 2022 to bestow City status on the town, as a mark of respect following the death of our respected MP Sir David Amess.
Garon Park would like to host a Coronation Weekend event on the Sunday 7th May and Monday 8th May which will truly celebrate the Coronation and our association and support for the King.

We will host 2 days of activities which will include a wide range of activities for people to get involved with: there will be bouncy castles, circus skills areas, traditional fayre ground games, cream teas, cricket and netball skills challenges and of course a lovely picnic area for families to enjoy. For those who do not want to pring a picnic we will also have some food stalls so you can purchase food on the day.

Our Big Lunch has been launched this week on our village Facebook Page and our 'In Touch' Magazine (goes through everyone's door).
Encouraging everyone to decorate homes and gardens for the weekend, and invite friends and family to eat lunch together, sharing plates of food and drinks.
We are having a Church Service, Bell Ringing and Firework display off the Church Tower on May 6th after the Coronation, leading up to the lunch.

It is a bring you own food to the party. We have a local singer Craig Harrison coming to sing for us.
There will be a picture quiz for the children and a royal quiz for adults on the tables together with colour your own paper Crown.
In addition a treasure hunt for the children around the hall.
We will be arranging a Coronation cake. Singing and dancing!
