Saturday May 6th
6.00 – 9.00 p.m. – Barrow Common – Picnic and Beacon Lighting
Join us for a bring your own picnic supper on Barrow Common by the Radar
Station. A field will be set aside for parking but bring your own blankets, food and
rain cover (if necessary).
We will have a piper to start things off followed by a performance by the
Brancaster Community Choir and then the beacon lighting at sunset. Paid bar will
be available. No tickets required – just show up on the day. Dog friendly.
Sunday May 7th
10.00 – 12.00 p.m. – Deepdale and Brancaster Staithe Tennis Club
Fun tennis for children and all ages. All are welcome to join in.
12.30 – 3.00 p.m. – Brancaster Staithe and Deepdale Village Hall
The Big Lunch will be celebrated at the village hall with fun and games for all the
children. Bring your own picnic but free tea and cake will be served in the Village
Hall. Enter the ‘Best Homemade Crown’ contest for the children, who are
encouraged to wear royal fancy dress.
4.00 – 11.00 p.m. – Brancaster Village Hall
Come to a family Barbecue from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m., and picnic and play
pétanque on the new court. Live music from ‘Goz Unplugged’ and later screening of
the Concert from the Palace in the Sports Bar.
Barbecue tickets will cost £5 (to include a burger or sausage with bun and salad)
and can be ordered in advance from Katie on info@brancastervillagehall.co.uk.
There will be a few spare tickets on the day but best to book for your party in
advance.
A special Coronation Cake Competition will be run in the following categories:
 Adults: A decorated cake – of a type and decoration that is entirely up to
your imagination.
 Children: A plate of four Decorated Cupcakes.
Please bring competition entries to the Hall from 2.00 p.m. onwards. Judging will
be at 3.30 p.m. The winners and prize giving will be at 3.45 p.m. All cakes donated
will be served at the BBQ as pudding.
