(We established and maintain a 50-mile route around Telford that was established to celebrate Telford’s 50th birthday)
We have chosen to establish 23 Telford Coronation Walks for 2023, the waymark includes the official Coronation emblem and the words Telford Coronation Walks 2023. The launch walk starts from Sutton Hill on the Coronation Bank Holiday and uses part of the Monarch’s Way which traces the escape route of Charles II from the Battle of Worcester. All 23 walks will be waymarked during 2023 and a guide book will be published. Another guided walk will be held to mark the end of the project.
