THE BIG HELP OUT
MONDAY 8TH MAY @ 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
VENUE: Newlands Corner, Albury, GU4 8SE

The Surrey Hills Society is an independent charity promoting the positive enjoyment and conservation of the Surrey Hills National Landscape for those who live, work in, or visit the area. The Society encourages people to explore and learn about the special qualities and distinctiveness of the area through walks, talks, events, practical conservation, and volunteering.

Our mission is summarised by four words: Conserve, Inspire, Educate and Enjoy.

Join us in celebrating the King’s Coronation by volunteering as part of The Big Help Out 2023 at Newlands Corner!

As part of our Conservation Volunteers programme, Surrey Hills Society in partnership with Surrey County Council will be encouraging us all to play our part for nature in picking up litter on bank holiday Monday 8th May.

Just turn up on the day and we will provide some equipment to borrow, please wear gloves when litter picking.

We’re also encouraging our visitors to go above and beyond across the Surrey Hills to #LeaveNoTrace by taking their litter home which helps make space for nature.

We look forward to seeing you then and thank you so much in advance.
