Coronation Celebrations in Fochabers focus on volunteering, thinking of others and supporting fellow community members through acts of kindness. “Summer Recycled” is a ‘pop up’ event at the Fochabers Public Institute, to be held on Sunday 7 May from I.00pm to 4.00pm and on Monday 8 May from 10.00am to 1.00pm. We will gather good quality, pre loved items which folks are invited to come along and help themselves to – browse, choose and fill a black bag. A massive community swap shop – all for free! In addition there will be a ‘Coronation Activity Stall’ for children and refreshments will be available in the ‘Coronation Cafe’. When Spring cleaning, consider sending your pre loved items to the Institute!
Continuing the Celebrations on Sunday 7 May, Bellie and Speymouth Parish Church will be hosting ‘Messy Church – Coronation Special’ from 4.00pm – 6.00pm in Bellie Church. All welcome – please register attendance to help with catering requirements.
Following Monday morning’s ‘Summer Recycled’ event, Milne’s Primary School Parent Council will be hosting a ‘Coronation Treasure Hunt’ for families. Meet in Fochabers Square from 1.00pm on Monday 8 May. Fun for all the family!
Fochabers Village Association is a voluntary community group whose strapline is “By the Community, For the Community”. We are a development trust, and incorporate the work of Fochabers Public Institute Hall Committee, Gala and Events Committee and Fochabers in Bloom. Following the Coronation weekend, our focus will be on planning for this year’s Gala Weekend which will take place from 28 – 30 July 2023. Fochabers in Bloom committee are preparing for summer planting in late May. Volunteers are always welcome to come along and join us.
