The Royal Society of St. George, North Downs Branch, actively supports other local charities and causes in the mid-Kent area (such as the Heart of Kent Hospice, East Malling Sea Cadets, Ditton ATC, RSPCA Rescue, Leybourne). This year, to celebrate St. George’s Day and to toast the forthcoming Coronation of our new King and Queen Consort, we will be holding a brief ceremony outside Leybourne Church, near West Malling, to honour RAF Fighter Command in the Battle of Britain; and then, at a nearby Kentish hostelry in Leybourne, to celebrate and toast His Majesty King Charles lll.
