Sing for the King is an open invitation from the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) for all choirs around the UK and the Commonwealth to join in song to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, acclaimed singer and composer, has been commissioned by the RSCM to compose a new coronation anthem for this project, ‘The Mountains Shall Bring Peace’, which is available now.

The project is open to all, from professional and cathedral choirs to local choral societies and school and community choirs. The music has been written to suit different combinations of voices, from full SATB with organ to unison with piano accompaniment, and is joyful and uplifting to sing.

Choirs are invited to share details of their concerts, come and sing events, church services and any events featuring ‘The Mountains shall bring peace’ on social media using hashtag #singfortheking to create a wonderful shared celebration in song.

The RSCM is a Salisbury-based charity to enable the flourishing of church music.
