Congleton Town Council are hosting a celebration picnic for the Coronation of King Charles III in Congleton Park, Bank Holiday Monday 8th May 1pm till 5.30pm, National Lottery Community Funded. Those attending can look forward to an afternoon of musical entertainment, including rousing tunes from Audley Brass Band, Bring on The Swing, Congleton Community Choir and Congleton Musical Theatre. There will also be food and drink stalls, games, free crafts, face painting, selfie gazebo with a kings throne and crown to create photo memories, and some extra surprises planned for the day. The local branch of the RSPCA will host its popular dog show in the park, along with local sports clubs Congleton Grizzlies Basketball Club, Vales Juniors Football Club, and Everybody Health and Leisure. Mill Green and Park Road will be closed to traffic to help with the safety of the event, Blue Badge parking allocated on Hankinsons Field off Park Road, clearly signposted.
