A group of folk representing committees, groups, churches, District & Parish Councillors & surrounding villages have come together to form the North Molton Coronation Group. We are hoping to close off our square & hold a bring & share Big Lunch on Sunday 7th May. It will start with a celebratory church service, followed by our bellringers ‘Ring for the King’. We have asked our primary school children to take part in an art competition (Coronation) which will be on show in our village hall. Prizes will be awarded to winners from each age group. Residents on the square are invited to decorate their houses with colourful plants &/or bunting & flags etc. To finish we will ask our oldest & youngest resident to cut the Coronation Cake made in the village, with the possibility of the school children singing the Coronation song composed by Duchess of Cambridge’s piano teacher. The aim is to finish by 5pm so we can go home & watch the concert at Windsor Castle.
