On behalf of Awards for All Alex Burgess kindly presented the cheque for £3,250.00 to Lochgoilhead Bowling Club. As reported in last month’s Wee Goil this generous grant is to Celebrate the King’s Coronation for the whole Community of Lochgoil.
The Lochgoilhead Bowling club will celebrate the King’s Coronation on Saturday 6th May and Sunday 7th May along with the community. Thanks to the generous grant these events are free to everyone..
Saturday 6th May the Coronation will be shown on the television in the clubhouse. A celebration glass of Prosecco, or wine, sandwiches and nibbles will be provided free of charge.
Sunday 7th A street type party will be hosted in the club, again a glass of Prosecco, or Wine, and a buffet will be provided, again free of charge.
During the two days a BBQ will be provided and a Marquee will be erected in the Club grounds in case the weather is not kind! The Marquee will be decorated with bunting, flags flown, party hats as well as small coronation freebees will be distributed making it a memorable occasion.
For our younger members of the community party bags will be distributed to the Primary School pupils.. There will be a smaller event held at the Tuesday club on the 9th May for our senior citizens.
Everyone is welcome and the community can drop in at any time to the Bowling Club over the 6th And 7th May.
