The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as King, and Queen consort, of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is taking place Saturday 6th May. The day after the Coronation, on the Sunday 7th of May, a concert at Windsor castle will be broadcast. To celebrate this event, a village coronation committee was formed The committee, made up of volunteers, is organising a village ‘family day’ event on the 7th of May. We invite everyone in the village and beyond to join us in celebrating!
At the Recreation Centre from 3pm there will be:
• Village picnic
• Bar and BBQ
• Children’s tea party
• Senior Citizens tea party at 3:30
• Face Painting
• Family arts and craft
• Plaque making
• Fancy dress tent
• Live steam of the concert on projector
• Bouncy slide
• Coronation children’s souvenir
There are provisions in place for adverse weather. The committee are looking for volunteers on the day!
