To celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort, Ledbury Town Council will be holding a community celebration in the High Street where residents will be encouraged to come together for a street party. There will be live music, games and plenty of activities to choose from, as well as a delightful selection of food from local cafes and food vans. Traders will not be selling drinks in the street, as we would like to encourage everyone to use Ledbury’s wonderful eateries and public houses.

As well as games there will be plenty of opportunities to win prizes, including the best dressed crown competition, which will be judged by the Mayor of Ledbury. Don’t worry if you haven’t got a crown, there will be an arts and crafts table on the day, so everyone can decorate a crown and be a King or Queen for the day.

The Council recognise Ledbury as a dog friendly town and encourage the residents to bring their four legged friends, and enter Ledbury Town Council’s ‘Dog Show’. Categories will include best dressed, waggiest tail and best trick. Details including how you can enter will be uploaded to the Town Council website in due course.

There will be a stage are in the High Street with a local band and Community Groups filling the town with music, including the Community Choir and Brass Band. Set times will be updated on the Town Council website closer to the event.

Local groups and residents have been invited to get involved with a community project to decorate the Town. This includes creating Coronation themed bunting to hang around the Market House, Almshouses and along Church Lane. To recognise His Majesty’s passion for sustainability and the environment, the council have encouraged members to create bunting by re-using old clothing, fabric scraps and charity shop bargains
