We are representatives from all community groups, charities, schools and churches who come together to organise community events.
King’s Coronation Picnic in the Park will be on Sunday 7th may from 11am to 4pm at Jubilee Park – Upper Tean, the day starts with an outdoor church service in the morning at 11am followed by local entertainers and brass band throughout the day, there will be 2 duck races on the river and we will be asking the community to get involved with planting a hedgerow as a tribute to the King’s Coronation, there will be local groups and local craft makers holding stalls all day.
This event could not have been organised without the amazing help from all the community groups that attend our Checkley Parish commmunity events committee.
