Thurlton Parish Council and Thurlton Village Hall Committee are opening the village hall 10.30am – 4pm on Monday 8th May. A programme of events will be published on Thurlton Parish Council Website.
Our event will include
Official opening of our DDA pathways onto our playing field and access to our village hall. Our village choir will sing the National Anthem and a few other songs.
Children’s events including face painting and a fancy dress competition. We are requesting households to display dressed up teddy bears and teddy bear displays. This will be judged by the villagers and children taking a walk around the village.
There will be displays and information on regular events that are held at the village hall. The pre-school, line dancing, horticultural club and the parish council itself. A tombola will also be held with great prizes donated by local businesses and parishioners.
The village hall will be decked out with red, white and blue and a display of the village through the ages which has been very popular in past events.
Refreshments will be served in abundance.
A local resident will be taking photo`s of the whole event and activities.
