Events organised by Mansfield District Council aim to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities by providing free days out that are inspiring, inclusive and aspirational.
The King’s Coronation celebration will do just that with a fun, free afternoon of live entertainment with brass bands, community choir, local acts, Punch and Judy shows, fairground organ, arts and craft activities, and much more.
The event will invite the community to be part of the Coronation Big Lunch so we encourage you to bring a picnic or buy food from the attending food vendors to share food and fun together.
We also encourage the community to get involved in projects such as knitting blankets to raffle off and raise money for charity and also recruiting volunteers to support on the day as part of the King’s Big Help Out efforts.
