Come join Keynsham Town Council in Memorial Park on Sunday 7th May from 12 noon to 5 pm, to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort. Residents are invited to bring their picnic blanket and come spend the afternoon at Memorial Park to celebrate.
The Park will be filled with fun activities and entertainment the whole family can enjoy including bandstand performances, traditional children’s races, free face painting, Morris Dancers, jugglers, a Punch and Judy Show as well as a Crown-making craft workshop.
Alongside the entertainment, stalls from local businesses will line Upper Memorial Park giving picnic-goers the chance to ‘support local’ and stock up on their Summer-time favourites products and crafts. Bring your spare change to have a go at the toy tombolas and lucky dips that will be raising money for local charities.
“The Coronation Picnic in the Park event is shaping up to be a lively community event,” said Katherine Sears, Deputy Town Clerk, Keynsham Town Council. “We’ve thought about entertainment for all ages so everyone can get involved in the Celebrations. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.”
