Hexham Community Centre exists for the benefit of the residents of Hexham and the surrounding villages. Our key charitable purposes are the alleviation of social isolation and the provision of free or low-cost activity for local residents, particularly families, living in the area.
The Coronation is a perfect opportunity to invite families into the Centre to take inspiration from the celebrations and from King Charles’ commitment to sustainability and recycling to host a number of craft drop ins, upcycling scrap fabric to create bunting, flags and crowns to help our local residents celebrate the coronation sustainably.
Drop ins will take place during our Open Arms intergenerational group, 3.30 – 5pm on Tuesday 2 May and during our After School LEGO Club, 3.30 – 5pm on Thursday 4 May. Both drop ins are free of charge thanks to funding from Northumberland County Council.
