We are planning a flotilla in Henley-on-Thames from Hambleden Lock to Marsh Lock on Monday, May 8, starting at 2pm to celebrate the Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort.

We’re hoping that anyone and everyone who has a boat will join in. There are no stringent entry criteria for this celebration, you must merely be able to float, so you’re likely to be joining all manner of watercraft such as the “Elvis boat” and the Macmillan Duck which are seen on the river during different Henley events. We do hope that all participants will dress themselves and their boats for the coronation!

In order to support The Big Helpout, we’re asking charities to set up stalls along the banks to sell drinks, cakes, sandwiches or souvenirs to raise funds. (Litter picking will be obligatory).
