Fort Nelson, near Portsmouth, is home to the Royal Armouries collection of artillery and historic cannon, with over 300 big guns on display. Admission to the see the collection and explore this massive Victorian fort is free.
To mark the Coronation the Garrison Artillery Volunteers will fire a 21-round gun salute from four 25-pounder big guns. The salute will take place at the same time as the King is crowned (approximately 12 noon).
There will also be a free Kings & Queens trail to keep our younger visitors entertained.
