On Saturday Oldham will be celebrating the Coronation!
A big screen will live stream the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort from 10am, outside the Old Town Hall.
Followed by an afternoon of the very “Best of British” tribute bands line-up 1pm – 6pm on the Coronation Bandstand stage.
• 1pm – Do It Like Dua – A Tribute To Dua Lipas dreamy pop and nu-disco sounds
• 2pm – Oldham’s very own The Threetles – Beatles Tribute.
• 3pm – Tania as Amy Winehouse – The smooth, sophisticated sound of Amy
• 4pm – Gladness – Going One Step Beyond with 70s-80s ska-pop Madness tribute band
• 5pm – Queen II – We Will Rock You with the Glam rock tribute band
There’s going to be lots of royal entertainment including the Bouncing Busby Guards, the Oldham Owls Ollie & Millie, The Great British Garden Party show, The Pigeons and King of the dinosaurs Tyrone the T-Rex.
Plus, don’t miss the Coronation Crafts from Oldham Play Action Group, make your mark at the Royal Portraits En Plen Aire ‘Paint what you see!’ activity with Urban Canvas and take a selfie with the specially created street art by Hammo.
