To celebrate the coronation of HM King Charles Ill, we will be holding a “Royal Tea Party” on Broomhill Common between 3pm and 6pm on Sunday, 7th of May. We will provide the tea (and coffee) and some fun outdoor games, and invite you to bring a picnic rug and some snacks, to enjoy an afternoon with neighbours. If you are a keen baker, please do bring a cake to share! We hope to see you there!
World Record attempt at 4pm, 7th of May, Broomhill Common
As part of the “Royal Tea Party” we will be attempting to break a world record of “the largest human image of a crown”!
We ask that you wear any clothing that is yellow, gold, white or purple on the day. But don’t worry if you haven’t anything suitable; we will have plenty of coloured ‘ponchos’ to wear! Residents young and old will be asked to stand within a crown shaped template that will be laid out on the common and say “cheese” as we capture this moment of history (we hope) from above using a drone!
