Wark Mechanics Institute and Town Hall is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Wark Town Hall), we hold many activities including Children’s playgroup, Pilates, highlights events, indoor bowls, Charity dinners, children’s private parties, coffee morning, quiz, fun bingo and other events. We also acted as a Warm Hub/Space through from November to March this year.

Wark Town Hall is organising an event on a green in the village at 6.30 on the Kings Coronation Day for the residents of Wark and Wark District. We will be lighting our own Beacon, raising a toast to the King,(sponsored by Wark Parish Council and refreshments and cake sponsored by The Coronation Fund, Northumberland County Council and Wark Town Hall.
We expect 30-40 people to attend, including children and The Battlesteads Hotel will be organising the refreshments on our behalf.
If the weather is inclement we will light the Beacon and the Hotel ,which is directly opposite the public green, has offered us a space to use.
Video and photographs will be taken including audio for the archives held at Northumberland County Council.
We are trying to encourage some local musicians to come along and everyone will receive a leaflet through the door telling them about the event, on Wark Facebook and the Northumbrian Village Hall Portal
We plan to have a best crown competition for a child and adult..
