As a single Church of England parish spread across the village of Ordsall and the western side of Retford, we are inviting the community to join us in celebrating the Coronation by bringing a picnic (and food to share if you fancy) to enjoy together on Sunday lunchtime on Church Lane (inside the Parish Hall if wet!). We’ll be sitting down from about 12.30 onwards and would love to see friends old & new having a grand time together. There’ll be jelly & ice cream provided by church, and we’ll put out the chairs, tables and bunting too!
Then on Monday morning, we want to welcome any volunteers to join our regular supporters in tidying up the churchyards, including a litter pick, around both All Hallows Church in Ordsall AND St Michael’s Church on Rectory Rd/Bridgegate in Retford. Just come along with your gardening gloves & wellies, rakes and spades and we’ll provide the tea & biscuits! Join us at whichever churchyard is nearest between 10am until 12 noon.
