On Saturday 6th May, Christchurch Priory will be brought to life with a stunning light art display featuring animation and imagery to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles.
Following on from the hugely successful projection mapping of the Normal Ruins at Christchurch’s Arts by the Sea event in October 2022, the Christchurch Coronation Light Display promises to enchant and amaze.
Starting at 9pm on Saturday 6th May, the free event is brought together by local projection mapping specialists Light Art Creatives, whose awe-inspiring work has been used across the south coast in festive and celebratory events, and Event Temps, an event and hospitality agency.
Speaking of the decision to celebrate the Kings Coronation through this visual spectacle, Julian Dorrell said “At Light Art Creatives we love delighting audiences with our illuminating light shows. This is the first British coronation in 70 years, and we wanted to mark this special occasion by using cutting edge technology to deliver a free event for the local community, created by local businesses.”
The event takes place from 9pm on Saturday 6th May, at the main entrance of Christchurch Priory, Quay Road, Christchurch BH23 1BU. There are no tickets, attendees can just turn up on the evening.
