Bradford Cathedral will be celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III in May, by live-streaming the Coronation service on our big screen; hosting a Civic Service of thanksgiving; and organising a litter pick on the streets around the Cathedral.

On Saturday 6th May the Coronation of King Charles III will be live-streamed on our big screen, with the opportunity to participate in an act of worship. Self-service refreshments will also be available.Broadcast times will be announced soon, and coverage at the Cathedral will continue until after the appearance of the King, Queen Consort and Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

On Sunday 7th May at 3pm there will be ‘A Civic Service of Thanksgiving for the King’s Coronation’ featuring the Bishop of Bradford – the Rt Revd Toby Howarth; the Cathedral Choir; and representatives of the County, City and District. All are welcome. We will also be participating in the ‘Ring for the King’ where a quarter peel of the Cathedral’s bells will be rung ahead of the Sunday Civic Service.

On Monday 8th May there will be ‘The Big Help Out’, which will include a litter pick of the streets around the Cathedral, in conjunction with ‘Don’t Mess with Bradford’.

People are invited to gather at 10am in the Cathedral grounds, and equipment and guidance will be provided, and the session will conclude at 12:30pm with a shared lunch; those taking part are invited to bring their own packed-lunch.
