Wherstead Park near Ipswich is bringing the community together with a rousing afternoon of live music in celebration of the King’s Coronation.
On 6 May, Wherstead Park will be hosting a ‘Best of British’ Afternoon Proms featuring classical hits from international opera star Christina Johnston, alongside popular sing-along tunes from the Funky Voices Choir.
Guests can bring their own picnic or enjoy the range of food vendors on site, including Otis Breading who serve artisan grilled cheese toasties, and The Tea Pod serving waffles, crepes and hot drinks. Hosted in the Wherstead Park Mansion and sheltered rose garden, guests can celebrate the historic coronation day come rain or shine.
Tickets are on sale now at £6.50 for general admission, £11.50 for priority access and arrival drink, or £27.50 for VIP including luxury picnic, arrival drink and priority seating.
A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Suffolk Mind charity. Under 15s go free.
