Our group, primarily, forms a conduit between residents, businesses and local authorities. We are actively involved with many local projects such as re-generation of the town, arts and culture, business liaison and promotions to increase towns footfall. We hold job fairs, local community social events, business forums, local environmental awareness campaigns, heritage and tourism and support other local groups in the organisation of their community projects and services.
We also produce promotional social media video s to directly promote our town, its businesses and attractions.
For the Coronation event, as well as the actual event itself which will launch on the evening of Friday 5th with local entertainment, pop-up park with deck chairs, nighttime lighting to crate a welcoming, relaxed environment, we have produced a ‘Legacy Video’ which will be launch prior to the event. This looks back at the towns connections to the Royal family from the late Queens coronation in 1953 through to King Charles III coronation. We are the memories of those privileged to be able to watch the Queens coronation and be a part of it in London, as well as remembering our Kings (Prince Charles) visit in 1985. We also get the perspective, from our younger generation, of the forthcoming coronation and our new King. This completes the full generational circle. The video can be watch on may Facebook pages as well as our own YouTube Channel dedicated to our town.
