A community event in Victoria Park. Local residents are encouraged to walk or cycle to the park and bring a picnic where they can meet other families and enjoy a live screening of the Coronation Ceremony, 10am-2pm. This will be followed by a Coronation Community Showcase of performances from local groups and individuals, 2pm-4pm. The performances will include, Ashford Concert Band, Future Dance, Fountain Worship Choir, Nepalese Dancers, Ashford Folk, and will be headlined by Deon, as seen on BBC’s ‘I Can See Your Voice’. This will be followed by a final Coronation sing-along with Jenny Bailey and Chris Symons who will be singing ‘It Matters to Me’ that was specially commissioned for the Queen’s Jubilee. Children and their parents can also enjoy craft activities at the event.
