The Allington Hillbillies (the Allington Hill, Cooper’s Wood and Field Community Group) volunteer for the Woodland Trust (who own Allington Hill) and for Allington Parish Council (who lease Cooper’s Wood and Field from the Woodland Trust). All this land is open access for everyone and anyone. The Hill is situated in North Allington, on the Western edge of Bridport, Dorset.
The group aims to involve the community in looking after these areas for the benefit of the local wildlife and to provide a community space for all to enjoy.
Our Coronation event is to be held on May 6th from 630-10pm and will feature live music and a performance from Bridport Youth Theatre and Dance Club. There will be food from the Half Moon in Melplash and a refreshment stall. BYO booze.
We will also be selling candle bags for decoration and will put on a light display on the meadow to finish the evening.
All welcome. Entrance is free. We will be asking for donations to Allington Hillbillies, Bridport Folk Festival organisation and Bridport Youth Dance and Theatre Group.
